Claire And Her Cupboard Doors

Baby Claire has been pulling herself up on things for about a week now, and she is exploring more and more every day. Yesterday she found the bathroom and we all know what is in there,  and today she found the cupboard doors.  As soon as she pulled herself up to the door she promptly found the door nobs, and figured out how to open them. Not very far but just a little, and just far enough to stick her tiny head in and have the door be resting on her skull.  And in the same day she was able to pull out a big pan from the bottom shelf, then when it hit the floor it made such a loud sound it made her cry.

 “I’v got you now”

“Hello in there”

“Wow, I can open it and slam it shut, and that makes a funny sound”

I took a video of her slamming the doors over and over again and I put it on my blog and when I clicked on the link it didn’t work.

Dominic’s Cooking Lesson

Today Dominic got his first cooking lesson ever. Today He helped me make the very simple boxed mac and cheese,

First I got a pot of water and put it on the stove to boil,then Dominic did the rest.

 He cut the butter.

 He dumped out the cheese.

 He dumped he noodles into the pot of now boiling water. Hmmm looks good.

 I could not get a pic of him putting all the ingredients into the pot.

 All done.
 Cheese.
And with all that excitement I still think that he had more fun eating it than cooking it.

Ohh, my goodness its already Advent and Sarah is talking about next semester classes, Ohh boy my head is spinning. Time is going so fast. We just finished Thanksgiving cooking and cleaning and pretty soon we will need to start Christmas cooking and cleaning and standing around in the kitchen for nine hrs, Great.

 

 How long of a vacation off of school do you guys have? I don’t know how long mine will be but all I know is Sarah has THREE WEEKS CHRISTMAS VACATION, THREE WEEKS I am so jealous.

Happy Thanksgiving all my blog readers. How long did you guys spend in the kitchen cooking,cleaning, and having panic attacks about what ingredients you forgot at the grocery story? I spent about nine hours total the day before Thanksgiving in the kitchen, and there was mom, me, Sarah, and Landon in the kitchen at the same time. Now can you imagine families leaving ALL the cooking and cleaning to mom? Thats not fair.

What did you have at Thanksgiving dinner? I had turkey, mashed potatoes with gravy, some sort of corn dish, stuffing, green bean casserole, pumpkin pie, pecan pic, apple pie, banana pudding dessert, and punch.

 

Be thankful for what you have, count you blessings and write them down on a piece of paper and put the list next to your bed.

The Unleashing

Hi guys so sorry I have not been blogging, I have been very busy and I kind of forgot about it.  But, to start up blogging again I will give you some suspense, tomorrow I will put up a post of something nobody will suspect and will probably astound most of you. And I won’t put it up until I have some guesses in the comment box.

Alex’s 9th B-Day

For Alex’s birthday I attempted an ice cream cake.  I thought it turned out well.  Tt was a strawberry cake with rocky road ice cream(chocolate with marshmallows and nuts, Alex picked it out.) After the cake was done, Landon helped me create two lightsabers across the top.  The ice cream was not home made, but the cake was.  I got the ice cream cake recipe from a cook book I got for my birthday. The cake i made was a little too sweet so next time I will cut down on the sugar.

I was the first to attempt an ice cream cake in this house. 

 

 

At Least He Told The Truth

For Easter I got a bag of truffles and I brought three truffles upstairs one for me, mom, and dad.

I gave one to dad them I put the other two on the counter and felt to go find mom, and when I came back there was only one there.  So I looked around to se if anybody was there and Daniel stood next to me so I said

“Daniel did you eat one of these truffles?” and he said “It was really very very good.”
